Stainless springs for hygienic, wash-down and warm process lines
Extruders, fillers and conveyors in food plants are hosed down daily and often run warm. We supply stainless compression, tension and wire-form springs in SS 304 and SS 316, free of carbon-steel contamination, so components survive caustic cleaning without rust bleed onto product contact surfaces.
Daily caustic wash-down
Cleaning chemistry strips plating and starts rust bleed, which is a contamination risk near product.
Elevated process temperature
Extruder barrels and sealing stations hold springs well above ambient for whole shifts.
Cross-contamination
Tooling shared with carbon steel can embed free iron into a stainless spring surface.
